Making Postly’s Connected Accounts Easier to Manage
Postly’s connected account views and selection controls are being refined to help people manage growing channel sets.
Making Postly’s Connected Accounts Easier to Manage
As a publishing workspace grows, the connected accounts screen has to help people find the right channel and take the next step without adding friction.
In Postly, we’ve been improving how people scan and manage connected social channels. The product code now includes a more compact grid and a list view, giving people another way to work through a larger set of accounts.
We also simplified channel actions and selection. People can select channels together and apply connection actions to the selected set. That can make routine account management more direct when a workspace has many channels.
Design for the size of the workspace
A single presentation doesn’t suit every account set. A compact grid can make better use of space when people want to scan several channels. A list can make rows and their actions easier to follow. Offering both gives the person a choice that fits the job in front of them.
Selection should be just as clear. When someone chooses several channels, the available action should make sense for that selection. Simplifying the controls helps keep the page focused on the work of managing accounts.
Why this matters
The goal is a calmer, more capable experience as people bring more of their publishing work into Postly. Better ways to scan and act on connected channels are one part of making that workspace easier to use.
The grid, list and selection changes have been pushed to the Postly codebase on GitHub. That confirms the code change; I haven’t verified a production rollout or measured its effect on customer experience.
Building a useful publishing product means paying attention to the everyday moments: finding an account, understanding what is selected, and knowing which action applies.
